The UNLV Women's Lacrosse club is designed to educate interested people about the sport of women's lacrosse. Through practice, every participant will acquire the necessary skills to be successful in the women's game. Through scrimmages and a competitive schedule with teams at and above our level, every player will be challenged and have a chance to function as a member of a team.

The team is a Sport Club through UNLV and is part of a separate league called the Western Women’s Lacrosse League (WWLL) where we are a Division II team in the Central region. The UNLV Women's Lacrosse program started and entered the WWLL as a Provisional team for the 2010 season then moved to Division II for 2011. UNLV finished third place in their division for the 2011 season and had three players selected on the All-League teams.

In 2012 UNLV took the DII Championship for the WWLL earning an automatic qualifier for Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championships. Five our players that year were selected for WWLL All League teams in the WWLL as well as one of our seniors receiving WWLL DII Most Valuable player and being placed on the WCLA Second Team All American.

In 2013, UNLV finished 3rd over all in the Southern Region with three players being selected for WWLL All League awards. The Lady Rebels are having an extremely successful fall season, which started with an undefeated weekend at the Santa Barbara Fall Brawl. The team has recruited many new skilled players this season and is looking forward to getting the WWLL Championship back in the spring.

If you are brand new to the sport, that is perfect! We love teaching the skills of the game and we have a lot of talented players and role models on the team that will help you pick up the game. There are no tryouts for our team and anyone who wants to play is welcome to come out! If you are interested in becoming a member, please use the Contact link at the top to get in touch with us!
